A new silk dupioni outfit in a new group that I am making.
Yes, it’s going to be all suits for the guys and girl.
This suit was made a few years back for my Tonner 22” American Model.
At the time I worked on the pattern and encountered some issues in the sewing that were resolved.
The outfit sold and a few years later someone commissioned that outfit for Gene doll.
I made it and it worked fine.
I came across the sketch about a week ago and decided to revisit the outfit.
I even contacted an old friend who I used to work with and consulted with her about the pattern. It seems that I made it a lot harder than needed.
Problem solved and the outfit is all done to my satisfaction.
The outfit is made of celadon silk dupioni, lined with gold silk dupioni.
The skirt is tight and form fitting, has a slit in the side and closes with a zipper and hook in the back.
The jacket is shawl collar, form fitting at the torso and flares at the hips.
The jacket fashion two pockets hidden in the seams in the front.
A belt in the back waist adjust to a snug fitting at the waist.
The jacket is decorated with olive green buttons in the top and along the side of the pockets.
The outfit comes with all the accessories that are shown.
A hot pink hat made by me, a hot pink bag that I got who knows when and finally found the right outfit to go with. The shoes and jewelry.
Doll is not included.
