A new outfit in the Avant Garde group.
The outfit consists of a white silk dupioni jacket.
Reminiscent of Dior the Bar jacket, I used an older pattern of a butterfly dress that I made, made the shoulders wider and bolder, narrower waist and bigger peplum.
It took a while to figure out the stance of the peplum, but I managed it by starching the fabric and adding padding inside as well as iron on fusible fabric along the seams.
The jacket is fully lined with white china silk, closes with snaps and has pearl buttons for decoration.
The skirt is made of soft lace fabric.
I gathered the fabric using my pleater machine, which creates a nice even shirring along the waist.
A waist band made of silk dupioni, like the jacket, fasten with a snap.
Included with the outfit are golden tights, earrings, her hat and white ankle length shoes.
