A new one-of-a-kind outfit joined the Avant Garde group.
I designed the outfit, printed the fabrics.
Decided on the fabrication for the top and the pants and then changed my mind.
Sometimes changes are necessary based on what things look like when its time to put the outfit together.
I decided to make the pants from chartreuse silk dupioni, and I am happy with the change.
The jacket is made from inkjet printed silk. The design is based on abstract pattern I found on Instagram.
Once printed, the colors look iridescent, which I found exciting and a nice surprise.
The jacket is form fitting, has balloon sleeves and straps of the fabric are attached to the hem line along three quarters of the jacket.
The jacket is lined with silk dupioni in aqua, to add body and stiffness to the jacket.
I added two tassels to the front to echo the tassels on the pants pleats.
The pants are made of silk dupioni in chartreuse lined with lime china silk.
The pants are wide legged and have two deep pleats at the side seams. A tassel is attached for decoration.
The jewelry and shoes are included.
