La Boheme
Unique, one-of-a-kind fashion for 16” dolls.
This new group will feature some Avant Garde fashion ideas that I played with.
While there is no common story between the outfits, at least not yet. A story might emerge as I put the group together.
This outfit consists of a Giza cotton blouse in white.
The blouse is sewn as a body suit to prevent ride ups.
The sleeves are super puff. I created darts along the elbow line in order to accommodate the extra fabric that gathers at the cuffs.
A silk ribbon was sewn along the elbow line to create a nice balloon effect at the top of the sleeve.
The skirt is in black Tencel fabric, mermaid style and cut on the bias to give the flares a nice bounce.
The skirt has a high waist, is longer on the back and has a slit in the front.
The skirt is fully lined with black china silk.
Included with the outfit are her earrings, and a ring. Gold mesh tights and black ankle high shoes.
