Red Trumpet.
A new outfit in the Avant Garde group.
This dress took a while to make.
I wanted a bust line that flares at the top and well fitted at the torso under breasts.
It took few try outs to get the right fit and I succeeded.
The dress is made of dark red silk dupioni, lined with red china silk.
The top flares out like a trumpet, hence the name, and I put a ire inside to make the opening stable. It also makes it possible to bend the top for a better fit on other dolls
The dress is fitted along the bodice.
For the bottom part, I took red and orange tulle, ran them through my pleater machine and then secure the pleats sewing with a silk thread.
I bent each one at the center and attached to the dress with red silk ribbon.
I had a choice whether to conceal the seams or go bold, and I chose to go bold and show the attachment to the dress, adding another decorating element to the dress.
The blouse is made of silk organza in peach/orange color.
The blouse has big, pointed collar, puffy sleeves and is a body suit. This way it won’t ride up.
The blouse is decorated with orange rhinestones buttons.
Shoes, jewelry and dolls are not included.
