Now that the collection is done.....

So I launched the collection on Wednesday and opened the sale for my newsletter subscribers, to my delight six of the nine outfits sold right away.

The thing with every collection, is always the bottom line question, will it sell?

It takes a while to put a group of outfits together, and yes, the plan is for everything to sell. But that not always the case. I made some outfits that I still offer and so far haven't sold. I don't know if it's the price, the look or who knows why, but some outfits just fly the minute they are being offered, and some do not.

I stopped trying to figure out the look that sells, there is no formula. An outfit the fly out right away, might not sell if I try a different color or fabric.

I am grateful when I sell a collection, for one, this is how I make my living, so earning money to pay bills is a plus, but it also tells me that I am doing something right and that I do strike a cord with some collectors who follow my work and are willing to spend the money to buy my fashion. Granted my fashion is a luxury item and not every doll collector buy clothes for their dolls.

For those who do I am grateful and that is why I keep doing what I do.

I work alone in my studio so when I get a positive feedback either by seeing comments on face book, or selling the fashion, It assures me that it's all worth while.

I tried to keep the prices for this group at under $!60.00 and some are $55.00

I will keep working on expanding this collection. I enjoyed working with the leather items and the red silk and since I have more 'Nautical' ideas, I think I'll make few more outfits.

I will keep you posted as to my progress and will post images on my Couture for dolls face book page.

Thank you for your continuing support.
