When something is missing

When I was putting this outfit together, I had in mind to add a black full skirt that will puff the coat and will show from the front.

I spent time cutting black organza in a semi circle, pleated the top. hemmed the bottom, and ironed it.

The pleats did not work and being that it was a semi circle, some areas that were on the bias, became longer then the rest. I tried to rectify it, but whatever I did just made it worse so I decided to throw it away and forget about the skirt.

Butttttttt it bugged me.

So today I am going back to the initial idea and add the skirt.

I have some ideas on how to make it and which fabrics to use, but until it's done I will stay quiet.

What if it doesn't work.

Right?
